Work Format
The Actuarial Analyst I role is a hybrid eligible position located out of Reno, NV. Hybrid schedules are 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
Job Overview
Capital Insurance Group is seeking a candidate to join our Actuarial Division. You will work alongside our creative and entrepreneurial individuals in Reno, NV. We look to partner with a candidate who fits with the CIG culture, excels as a decision enabler, and can effectively collect and communicate results to key stakeholders. Projects assigned will come from multiple actuarial disciplines.
Requirements
- Pursuing or possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or related quantitative subjects.
- 0–1 years of Actuarial experience.
- Completion of one or more actuarial exams is required. Two or more exams is preferred.
- Experience using SQL and a comprehensive understanding of relational databases is highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of R, Python, or other statistical software is highly preferred.
- Predictive modeling experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet.
- Basic knowledge with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau) is a plus.
- Some experience using Visual Basic Application in Excel is a plus.
- Complies with professionalism standards set by the Casualty Actuarial Society.
Salary Range: $53,508- $88,288
The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as benefits and bonus programs.
