  • Ensure alignment with the anniversary effective dates.
  • Establish and enforce governance standards, documentation practices, and quality controls.

Technical Execution

  • Interpret Rate Committee decisions and Precis documents into actionable technical specifications.
  • Oversee the development of rating logic, underwriting rules, and form configuration for PL, CL, and Ag.
  • Work with developers to ensure solutions match pricing intent, are logically consistent, and meet regulatory requirements in both design and implementation.
  • Review and approve all technical specifications and testing results before deployment.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Actuarial, Product, IT, and Compliance.
  • Coordinate closely with IT to ensure the team operates on the latest code stack, is aligned with system upgrades, code freezes are considered, and there is orchestration with major releases.
  • Lead pre-implementation reviews with all stakeholders to review scope, timing, required code merges, and release dependencies.
  • Ensure clear and consistent communication of timelines and expectations across teams.

Process Improvement

  • Build and continuously improve implementation workflows, documentation templates, coding standards, and handoff procedures.
  • Integrate Artificial Intelligence and new technologies to improve implementation function.
  • Analyze process bottlenecks and implement solutions to increase speed-to-market and decrease error rates.
  • Drive transparency and predictability across the organization through clear metrics, dashboards, and reporting.

Job description is not prescriptive, but rather a guide as to the duties and responsibilities you will have, however it is not limited to the listed above.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in insurance, actuarial, rating, product management, or system implementation.
  • Deep understanding of rating logic, underwriting rules, and insurance forms.
  • Experience translating actuarial or form requirements into system specifications.
  • Experience with configuration or implementation within rating systems (e.g. Guidewire PolicyCenter).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience (team lead, project lead, or people management).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines rating.
  • Prior work in Actuarial or Actuarial Support preferred (e.g., passed 1–3 exams, ACAS, etc.).
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams or large implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with IT development life cycles, branching strategies, and QA practices.
