The Inside Sales Representative role is a hybrid eligible position out of our Reno, NV, or Roseville, CA, offices.
Job Overview
The Inside Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in fostering relationships with independent insurance agents representing CIG. Operating out of a CIG office in a hybrid work model, this individual will utilize video conferencing and other digital communication tools to engage with agents, providing them with key insights into our underwriting appetite, sales processes, and expectations for partnership. The role is responsible for driving agency engagement, supporting production growth, assure profitability of all lines of business and holding agencies accountable for performance metrics. This position requires strong sales acumen, relationship management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned independent agencies, delivering strategic guidance on CIG’s underwriting appetite, products, and business procedures.
- Develop and execute agency planning goals to drive production growth, profitability and ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Conduct virtual meetings, training sessions, and business reviews with agencies to educate and support their success.
- Monitor and analyze agency performance, providing actionable feedback and holding agencies accountable for production targets.
- Identify opportunities for growth within assigned agencies and implement strategies to maximize business potential.
- Partner with internal underwriting, marketing, and service teams to ensure smooth operations and a positive agency experience.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), providing insights to sales leadership on trends and opportunities.
- Act as a trusted advisor to agencies, addressing concerns and advocating for solutions that drive mutual success.
- Through documentation of all agency interactions in internal APS systems
- Full understanding and consistent deployment of internal Sales Process
- Identifying and appointing agencies across regions and territories

Requirements
- Associate’s degree in business, Marketing, Insurance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in insurance sales, agency development, or a related field within P&C insurance.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships remotely.
- Proficiency with virtual communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom) and CRM software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Career Path Potential
Salary Range: $63,729 - $105,153
The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as benefits and bonus programs.
